We have been really busy this week firming up our gig schedule for SXSW in Texas next month and were stunned when we received a request to perform at the SXSW Delegate Welcome Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel on the opening night of the Festival. We will be doing an acoustic set which will be the first performance of SXSW 2010 to an audience of over 120 music executives from around the world…. no pressure then!
We are also honoured to be representing Wales at the British Music Embassy Welsh Party at Latitude 30 on the second day of the festival…. watch this space for further SXSW announcements over the next week or so.
We head off to London this afternoon to prepare for our appearance tomorrow night at the HMV Next Big Thing Festival. We share the bill with The Plasticines and Daisy Dares You and ticket sales have gone through the roof… so if you are thinking of coming down, we suggest you order your ticket in advance ‘cos it could be a sellout!

We will be dominating the BBC Radio Airwaves tonight (Sunday 31st Jan) with appearances on two BBC music shows.
Frst off… we are appearing live on The Pool, BBC Radio Merseyside’s weekly roundup of the Liverpool Music scene hosted by Dave Monks. The show airs between 8pm and 10pm and features an interview with us talking about our new E.P. and our upcoming performances at HMV’s Next Big Thing Festival in London and SXSW in Texas. We will also be performing acoustic versions of one of the new E.P. tracks and a brand new song live on the show which airs on 95.8FM, 1485AM and 218.640 on DAB.
Tracks from our E.P. are then being featured on the Adam Walton Show on BBC Radio 1 Wales which airs between 10pm and midnight on FM: 93-96 & 104 FM (depending on where you are in the UK), on medium wave on 657 & 882 AM, channel 0117 on Sky digital satellite, channel 714 on Freesat, channel 719 on Freeview (Digital terrestrial), and via channel 931 on Digital cable.

At midday on Saturday 30th Jan we’re putting up our new E.P. on the player.
We spent a week recording it at Whitewood Studios in Liverpool with producer Danny Woodward (Ladytron, Hot Club de Paris, The Wombats) and now it’s time to be let out into the wilderness.
Our new website will be launched that day too! Where you can sign up to the mailing list and get one track as a free download. We’ll have physical copies onsale at gigs and on the Merchandise Page on the website.
Come and see us at one of our gigs at the run-up to SXSW for sneak peaks of new songs that we’re recording at EMI in London when we get back!

Just a quick post to say a big thanks for all your support during 2009. As we sit here on Christmas Day, we are No 3 in the Myspace Alternative Artists Chart (behind Paramore and Rage Against the Machine) and have 4 of our tracks in the Myspace Alternative Song Chart Top 10… so a massive thanks to you all!
Over the last few months we’ve been busy writing lots of new material and we go into the studio early in the New Year to record our debut EP which is due for release in February. You will be able to advance order it in January however… so watch this space!
Lots of other exciting stuff happening in 2010… but for now, have a really good Xmas & New Year.
